You do not need expensive teleconverters to take awesome macro shots with your X Pro/X T1/X E1/X M1.

Simply get yourselves some cheap extension tubes, and use an external flash. You will lose the ability to Autofocus, so manually adjust the focus before removing the lens from the body.

Switch your camera to “shoot without lens”, selecting a small aperture of around f11+, using a sync cord to an external flash (anything that will fire with the cord, and allow you to manually adjust the power will do) frame your subject and shoot. It takes a bit of trial and error, but I’ve managed to shoot some awesome “super macro” with this setup.
